This is my last post of the year!
Red is a great color to end the year on, right!!!
Who remembers my red floral print duster?
Yes!
The one I refashioned by adding the red linen blend bands?
Yep, that one!
Well, it just so happens that I had just enough of the band fabric left over to make a red dress! I love red dresses! Ok, Ok...I love red! 😍
I used view B of McCall's 7189 - which has now become one of my TNTs. I really love wearing princess seam cuts, but this one has a slight curved hem. And it looks wonderful with the duster and on it's on! I'm in love!
My alterations were my usual...I enlarged the waist by about 1 inch and made the sleeves my favorite elbow length!
I love the fit and "slightly" flare silhouette of this pattern as well as the slightly curved hem. Because of the curve, I did a narrow top-stitched hem.

My oldest daughter took the photos and thought my red shoes would look better, but I didn't agree and wore black pumps. Not sure I will wear red shoes with it...don't want too much red all at once!
I also love the fit and "kinda" flare silhouette of this pattern.
I'm glad I had enough of the linen blend that I purchased from Vogue Fabrics left...less wrinkles, right?
😏
I will definitely make it again...maybe in a ponte or a wool blend!
Or maybe with my black and white jacket - click here to see that blog post!
Red is a neutral, right? 😍
I wish you and your families a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
I sincerely thank each of you for all of your support this year!
I'm looking forward to continuing to connect with you in 2020!
Happy Endless Sewing!
